Design Features:

  • The stone laminate back panel reads as sandstone or slate depending on the light the surface texture has enough relief that shadows form across it, which is what gives it the earthy, organic quality that printed or painted finishes never quite achieve.
  • Stone-finish HPL takes the daily contact that a real stone panel in a living room would struggle with a set-top box dragged across it, a remote dropped against it, humid monsoon air sitting against it for months. It doesn't scratch, swell, or stain the way natural stone does under those conditions.
  • The LED cove above the console and the undershelf strips aren't just ambient lighting they rake light across the stone texture at a low angle, which is precisely what makes the surface relief visible and three-dimensional. Without directional light, a textured panel reads flat.
  • Matte white cabinetry with warm stone tones is a combination that doesn't fight with the rest of a room whether the sofa is grey, the walls are cream, or the floor is warm wood, this palette finds a way to sit within it rather than competing with it.
  • Real stone needs sealing on installation, resealing every year or two, and careful cleaning in between. The laminate version needs none of that a damp cloth handles everything, and the surface holds its finish without any scheduled maintenance.

Is stone laminate the same as real stone?

No it is a high-pressure decorative laminate that replicates stone's appearance and texture. It is lighter, cheaper, and easier to maintain a practical advantage in everyday TV cabinet design.

Will the stone laminate look cheap or artificial?

At a standing distance which is how a TV back panel is always seen premium stone laminates from Merino, Greenlam, or Formica are genuinely difficult to distinguish from the real thing, particularly once directional LED lighting is grazing the surface. The texture is what does the work, and quality HPL has enough of it.

Can the stone finish be used on the floor as well for a cohesive look?

Stone-look vitrified floor tiles in a coordinating tone extend the material story from wall to floor without looking like a direct copy the scale change between wall panel and floor tile is enough to keep them distinct. Your designer can suggest complementary tile options.

Is this unit heavy?

The unit uses a plywood carcass with laminate panels significantly lighter than real stone while maintaining structural strength.

Does the natural stone laminate finish require sealing or special coating?

Unlike real stone, the natural stone laminate has a factory-applied protective layer that resists moisture and stains without additional sealing making maintenance straightforward and supporting interior design suggestions that are as practical as they are visually striking.
