Design Features:
- Champagne, walnut, and white marble don't share a colour - they share a temperature. All three sit in the warm half of the material spectrum, which is why they work together without any deliberate colour coordination. Put them on the same wall and the composition resolves itself.
- A full-height Calacatta or Statuario marble panel behind the TV isn't doing the same job as a smaller marble accent - it's making the wall itself the statement. The veining runs floor to ceiling, the scale is architectural, and no other material comes close to producing that effect in a residential living room.
- The LED cove above the console doesn't illuminate the marble - it reveals it. At a grazing angle, the light picks up the veining relief and throws it into slight shadow, which is how the internal movement of the stone becomes visible. Ambient ceiling light hits marble flat-on and misses all of that.
- Walnut on open shelves beside a full marble panel does something that no amount of warm lighting achieves on its own - it introduces a genuinely organic surface that the marble, for all its luxury, doesn't have. The grain of the wood has a warmth that cuts through the cool mineral quality of white marble without competing with it.
- The champagne console floats between two strong material registers - walnut above and marble behind - and holds them together without asserting itself. It's warm enough to belong to the walnut side, metallic enough to reference the marble veining, and light enough not to add visual weight at the level where the eye rests.

Ratings
This design uses walnut instead of acacia (a warmer, bolder grain), a full-height marble backdrop rather than a framed backlit panel, and emphasises grandeur over the backlit glow effect - a distinction that matters in positioning this TV cabinet design for larger rooms.
Calacatta Gold is the most requested - white base with bold gold veining that photographs exceptionally well and reads luxurious from across a room. Statuario suits rooms where a cooler, more restrained palette is preferred; the grey veining is more subtle. Emperador Dark is the choice for rooms that can carry a rich brown stone without the wall becoming too heavy.
Yes - marble cladding panels (15-20 mm thick) are used in apartments rather than full slabs, reducing weight significantly without compromising appearance.
Nothing special - a damp microfibre cloth handles dust and light stains without any product. The one thing to avoid is anything abrasive; fine scratches on a champagne surface catch light at an angle and create a dull patch that doesn't buff out, so keep scourers and rough cloths away from it entirely.
Engineered marble panels used in cabinetry applications are factory-sealed and do not require additional waterproofing, making them suitable for humid coastal and monsoon-heavy cities - a material assurance that supports confident home design ideas in challenging climates.
